On a warm winter’s night high up on a ridge
As I dreamed a strange voice filled my head
“I will show you a vision, a picture, an omen
A glimpse of the future” is what the voice said.
And I saw a pale horse on top of a hill and its rider the master of Hell
Who smiled as he watched what went on down below him
As the oceans rose up and the rivers did swell
As the oceans rose up and the rivers did swell
The ice had all melted and flooded the land
And the air it hung thick with the heat
As the pale horse and rider came down from that hill top
To claim their reward and prophecy to keep
Then the horseman cried out “All is now ready! The end of the world is at hand!
Let the sword, the famine, the plague, and the wild beasts
Lay waste to what’s left of my part of the land
Lay waste to what’s left of my part of the land”
And then I awoke from this revelation
And I thought as I lay in my bed
“You better act now before it’s too late”
The prophets of logic had many times said
But tho many had listened they chose to ignore and I knew now that the question was not
Whether we were the cause or it was mother nature
The die had been cast and we’d drawn our lot
The die had been cast and we’d drawn our lot
And I saw a pale horse on top of a hill and its rider the master of Hell
Who smiled as he watched what went on down below him
As the oceans rose up and the rivers did swell
As the oceans rose up and the rivers did swell
